Sample Interview Questions

These are just examples of difficulty level and types of Interview Questions that will be asked for each division.  Some of these questions may come up in the interview, by coincidence.  The interivew will include different questions raised by individual contestant's responses.  Every girl is different and this will always affect the questions that are asked. Also keep in mind, Judges change question difficulty by age, not only by age division. Interviews are personalized and made much easier this way.

Always explain why!!

 

Petite:

  1. How old are you?
  2. What is your name?
  3. What is your favorite toy?
  4. What is your favorite color?
  5. What is your favorite cartoon?
  6. Who is your favorite person in the whole world?
  7. Do you have brothers or sisters?
  8. What do you want to do when you are big/a grown up?
  9. Who is your favorite princess?
  10. Do you want to be a princess?

Again, questions vary by each girl and age. Judges tend to stick to topic areas that get the young Petite girls talking.

 

Little Miss:

  1. What is your favorite toy or game to play?
  2. What is your favorite T.V. Show?
  3. If you could be an animal what animal would you be?
  4. What is your favorite color?
  5. What is your favorite subject in school?
  6. Who is your favorite super-hero?
  7. If you had one wish what would it be and why?
  8. If you won $500 how would you spend it?
  9. Why would you like to be the Queen?
  10. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Pre-Teen:

  1. What is your favorite thing to do?
  2. What is your favorite food?
  3. What is your favorite Holiday?
  4. What is your favorite story/book?
  5. What would be the best thing someone could give you?
  6. What is your favorite movie?
  7. If you could change one thing in your school, what would you change?
  8. What do you look for in a friend?
  9. If you had one wish what would it be and why?
  10. Why would you like to win this pageant?

Jr. Miss:

  1. What is your favorite hobby?
  2. What is your favorite subject in school?
  3. What is your least favorite subject in school?
  4. If you could change something in your school, what would it be?
  5. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
  6. What do you look for in a friend?
  7. If you were left alone on an island and could only bring one thing, what would it be and why?
  8. Are you involved in after school programs or activities?
  9. If you won $1,000 what would you do?
  10. What is your favorite family tradition?

Teen:

  1. Who is the most important person in your life?
  2. What is your favorite charity?
  3. If you were to win the state title, how would you promote the pageant system?
  4. What events or charities would you be interested in supporting if you were to win the state title?
  5. Who is your Hispanic role model?
  6. Why did you join the pageant?
  7. Describe yourself in three words.
  8. If your boyfriend told you he didn't want you to do the pageant, what would you do?
  9. What characteristics do you look for in a friend?
  10. Define a winner.
  11. What do you want to do in life?

Miss:

  1. What  is the definition of a Latina?
  2. Tell me something unique about your culture?
  3. Where do you see yourself in five years?
  4. What career interests you?
  5. Who is your role model?
  6. If you could change one thing in your school, what would it be and why?
  7. If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, past or present, who would it be and why?
  8. What is your most prized posession?
  9. Why should you be selected as the next state representative?
  10. How would you promote your title, if you were to win?
  11. What piece of advice would you pass on to the other contestants?

Ms. :

  1. What is the most significant accomplishment in your life? Why?
  2. Do you consider yourself to be a giver or taker? Why?
  3. Who do you feel is the most popular latino/latina in the world? Why?
  4. Tell me something unique about your culture?
  5. What do you want to do in life?
  6. What are the best qualities a parent could share with their children? Why?
  7. What do you expect to gain by participating in this pageant?
  8. How will you promote your title if you were to win the state pageant?
  9. What is your most prized posession?
